Introduction to Local Business Development at Selectra
Originally a web-based company, Selectra used to exclusively source its customers through SEO (ranking on Google on qualified keywords) and SEA (paid ads) strategies. Selectra recently diversified its acquisition by growing partnerships with real estate companies who refer our services to customers who move into a new home and need our help to set up electricity, natural gas, Internet and home insurance. Selectra shares the commission it gains from energy or Internet suppliers and insurers with its real estate partners. A fast growing team works in this department for Spain, Portugal, Austria, France, Belgium and Italy.
Introduction to Selectra Ireland
Selectra started operations in Ireland in 2020 and successfully grew its traditional web-based business. Our Irish teams are located in Barcelona (sales) and Madrid (marketing).
Mission
Under the supervision of the Head of Local Business Development, your mission will be to prove the feasibility of growing Selectra’s Local Business Development business in Ireland by:
- getting trained on the Irish energy market and the products sold by Selectra ;
- reaching out to local real estate agencies and relocation companies ;
- signing partnership agreements with them so that they refer our services to their customers who move into a new home in Ireland in exchange for a commission fee ;
- making sure that these partners send you leads by animating your portfolio of partners ;
- converting the leads you receive into sales.
Your goal is to prove that you’re on track to achieve profitability in the project within a reasonable time frame (4 to 10 months), paving the way for the hiring of new team members.

- Talent in sales: communicative, outgoing, not afraid of reaching out to potential partners ;
- Strong mind to overcome obstacles and challenging periods ;
- Strong acquaintance with Irish culture and ways of speaking ;
- A strong local personal network in any region of Ireland is a big plus.
Conditions
- Permanent contract ;
- Full time position based in any of Selectra’s Spanish offices (Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Sevilla or Malaga) ;
- Trips to Ireland to be planned for field prospecting.
